Network/Security Engineer Eng.Redes/Segurança – Lisboa

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the application of industry best practices and methodologies in the design, deployment, and operation of core route/switch and data center networks. Your role will involve providing technical guidance and leadership to both the customer and the project engineering team, ensuring that project timelines are met. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for the customer, offering design, migration, and deployment guidance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering network planning, design, implementation, and optimization services to Commercial Enterprise clients after sales.
- Creating Low-Level and High-Level designs for enterprise networks using industry best practices.
- Developing and reviewing comprehensive site designs, encompassing low-level designs, network diagrams, as-is and to-be reports, and generating the necessary bill of materials for implementation.
- Leading the delivery of network solutions, which may involve routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network hardware appliances.
- Overseeing and performing upgrades of equipment, hardware, and software, both new and existing.
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting customer-managed hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Conducting research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to stay up-to-date with developments in the networking industry.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE (Routing/Security/DataCenter).
- A related degree in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent network engineering experience (minimum of 5 years).
- At least 7 years of experience in designing, deploying, and implementing core route/switch and/or data center networks following industry best practices.
- Strong client-facing and consultancy skills within a Professional Services environment.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to create detailed technical documentation and present complex information in an understandable manner.
- Expertise in logical network design models (L2/L3, WAN, Network Optimization, Spanning tree, VFR, VTP, VLANs, physical cabling).
- Technical knowledge of network control protocols (QOS, PfR, PoE, NTP, DHCP), network management protocols (CDP, FTP, TFTP, SNMP), and security protocols (SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec).
- Experience with Cisco technologies like ISE (Identity Services Engine), SDA, DNA, SD-WAN, ACS, Umbrella, and Firepower.
- Familiarity with Programmability and Automation.
- Experience with PaloAlto and Fortinet Firewalls.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong customer service orientation with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
